Senior LevelCall Quest Solution is seeking a Senior Cloud AWS Lambda Developer with a strong software engineering background, primarily in Java, who is building full-scale AWS Lambda-based applications and APIs in Python. The role focuses on designing and developing serverless, event-driven applications while collaborating with various teams to ensure scalability and performance.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain AWS Lambda–based applications and APIs using Python
Build end-to-end serverless solutions, not just individual Lambda functions
Apply strong software engineering practices in API design, testing, and code quality
Leverage AI coding tools (Amazon Q preferred) to improve development efficiency and quality
Develop and integrate messaging and event-driven workflows using Kafka
Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making
Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of serverless applications
Qualification
Required
Strong background as a Software Developer (historically Java-focused is typical)
Current, hands-on experience developing AWS Lambda applications in Python
Full application and API development (not isolated Lambda functions)
Solid understanding of serverless application architecture
Experience using AI-assisted coding tools
Amazon Q preferred, others acceptable
Hands-on experience building messaging queues and event pipelines using Kafka
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and integration patterns
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with AWS-native services supporting Lambda (API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for application delivery
Experience in Agile development environments
