Controls-Vision Engineering Intern
Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is dedicated to transforming the world through sustainable energy solutions. They are seeking an ambitious engineering intern to support their lithium-ion battery initiative, where the intern will gain hands-on experience in programming and troubleshooting PLC/Vision systems and contribute to improving manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Participate in Programming, installing, and troubleshooting PLC/Vision systems such as Mitsubishi, Keyence and Omron within the manufacturing processes
Assist with design and programming HMI and communication network systems
Conducts design and testing work for existing production lines to improve cell manufacturing process on safety, quality and productivity
Analyzes and evaluates machine and test data
Provides engineering support to production teams to resolve manufacturing process issues
Works closely with other team members to increase understanding of failure modes and improve performance of cell manufacturing equipment
Applies principles and knowledge of engineering to solve manufacturing problems
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Completion of at least two years of full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline

Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university
GPA of 3.2 or higher
Demonstrated experience solving difficult hands-on engineering problems with an ability to clearly articulate technical detail and thought process
Familiarity with basic lithium-ion battery chemistry
Good understanding of basic manufacturing principles
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely
Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Minimum 3.2 GPA
Must have completed a minimum of 2 years at an accredited university
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time the internship begins and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, O-1, TN, L-1, or other employment-based visas) to participate in the program or for a fulltime role after graduation. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization

Electrical and Computer Engineering
Hands-on experience through project teams or previous jobs
Knowledge in programmable platforms, PLC, and embedded controls using programming languages
A desire to create a sustainable future through energy storage, renewable energy, and electric vehicles
