Responsibilities

Supporting the HLW Spares Program
Resolve technical issues related to the discipline independently, including any required interface with other disciplines, groups, suppliers, and the customer
Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team
Develop, review, concur with and/or assess engineering technical documents
Develop, review, concur with and/or assess management control procedures, technical procedures, or guides
Development of new procedures and processes as required
Facilitation and communication with the client and various stakeholders
Support development of project cost and schedule estimates
Independent recognition and development of necessary updates and improvements to Engineering processes
Interface with subcontractors, vendors, and project support groups

Required

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now or in the future
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)
Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns—including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries—are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access
Experience in processing facilities, DOE facilities, or DOD facilities preferred
Operating experience with spares programs
FMECA/RAMI Experience
Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods
Skilled in oral and written communication
Coordination and/or development of metrics and KPIs to support the program
