Mid, Senior LevelSan Jose Construction Group, Inc has an immediate need for a Project Commercial & Contracts Manager for Residential and/or Commercial type of Projects. The role supports project teams from preconstruction through close-out, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, risk management, and protection of the company’s commercial interests in both public and private sector projects.
Construction
Responsibilities
Lead commercial management of construction projects from preconstruction handover through project close-out
Prepare monthly cost reports, job cost forecasts, and margin analysis
Administer prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders in accordance with contract terms and local regulations
Manage the change order process, including pricing, negotiation, approval, and documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, local jurisdiction requirements, and US construction laws
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related discipline
Proven experience in commercial, contracts, or project controls management within a General Contractor operating in the DMV area
Strong understanding of US construction contracts and commercial practices
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Professional certifications such as CCM, PMP, RICS, or CPA (partial) are a plus
Experience with AIA, ConsensusDocs, Design-Build, and public-sector contracts
Experience delivering projects for federal agencies, local municipalities, or public authorities
