AV and IT Support Engineer
Global Engineering Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled IT & AV Support Engineer to join their team onsite in Chicago, IL. This role involves providing Level 2 IT technical support and expertise in audiovisual systems, focusing on supporting complex infrastructure and executive-level collaboration spaces.

Responsibilities
Provide Level 2 support for end-user hardware, software, and network systems (Windows, macOS, Office 365, Intune, MDM)
Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize AV systems in conference rooms and collaboration spaces (Polycom, Crestron, Cisco, Zoom, Teams, Webex)
Administer user accounts, permissions, and security across Microsoft and Azure environments
Perform installations, configurations, and preventive maintenance for IT and AV infrastructure
Manage and document all service requests in enterprise ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk)
Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and executive staff to deliver exceptional on-site support
Mentor Level 1 technicians and help drive continuous improvement in operations
Qualification
Required
2–4 years of IT or AV support experience, including at least 1 year in a Level 2 or enterprise support role
Proven background working with corporate users, executives, or high-demand professional teams
Strong knowledge of Office 365, Windows 11, macOS, and networked AV environments
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills in fast-moving environments
Preferred
Experience with Polycom and Crestron systems preferred
Relevant certifications a plus (CompTIA, Microsoft 365, Crestron, Polycom, ITIL)
