The Y Cash Accountant will work independently within the Finance department, handling cash management tasks, bank account administration, and engaging with customers to resolve inquiries and problems.

Responsibilities

Performing functions dealings with the receipt, disbursement, and protection of cash

Perform bank account administration

Determine the association’s daily cash position while ensuring all bank activity is reflected in the accounting software

Engage with internal and external customers to answer questions in order to assist and resolve problems

Act as liaison with financial institutions to handle inquiries, investigations and account monitoring

A working knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel and Word), pdf files, use of email and general use of web-based portals (Google Suite preferred)

A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience

The ability to work part-time, approximately 20 hours a week
