Director - Executive Director of Key Accounts
Harris & Co is working with a global Small Molecule API CDMO that is expanding its North America commercial team. They are seeking a confident, consultative senior business development professional to manage and grow strategic relationships with major pharmaceutical companies.
Responsibilities
Own and grow a portfolio of major pharmaceutical accounts, developing long term, high value relationships
Act as the primary point of contact across commercial topics including pricing, contractual changes, forecasting, budgeting, and service delivery coordination
Conduct account analysis to identify growth opportunities and build strategic account plans, aligning internal stakeholders to deliver against client needs
Deliver against sales targets through expansion within existing accounts, including cross selling and upselling
Lead client calls and visits, anticipate barriers, and present practical solutions
Partner closely with internal functions such as process development, analytical, manufacturing, marketing, and operations to ensure smooth execution
Negotiate commercial terms and pricing approaches in line with policy, legal requirements, and relevant industry standards
Represent the organisation at selected conferences and industry events
Qualification
Required
Chemistry background: A degree in Chemistry (BSc, MSc, or PhD)
Big Pharma access: Demonstrable experience managing Big Pharma accounts, with existing relationships or a proven ability to access and influence senior stakeholders within major pharmaceutical companies
