Florida Lung, Asthma & Sleep Specialists (FLASS) is a growing, independent pulmonology and sleep medicine group seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and strengthen our financial operations. This is a senior leadership role for a hands-on finance professional with medical group and medical insurance payer experience who can partner closely with executive leadership and support continued growth across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

Lead accounting operations, month-end close, and internal controls
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow for a multi-site medical practice
Oversee revenue cycle financial reporting, including payer mix and reimbursement trends
Manage financial performance, operations, and logistics of specialty therapeutics
Partner with executive leadership on financial planning and performance analytics
Coordinate audits and ensure healthcare financial compliance

Required

5+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role
Required experience in a medical group or healthcare organization
Strong knowledge of insurance payers, reimbursement, and revenue cycle finance
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks (QBO), Treasury Management
Bank Fraud Prevention Controls (Positive Pay & ACH Filters)
Experience with PEO Payroll Systems & Controls (healthcare specific)
RCM systems plus Business Intelligence Tools
Coordinating and financial management of specialty therapeutics
Strong communication skills, integrity, and attention to detail

Preferred

EMR experience (eClinicalWorks preferred)
Strong communication skills (English plus Spanish preferred)
