Responsibilities
Represent employers in all facets and stages of employment and labor relations matters
Handle complex wage and hour class actions, including PAGA litigation under California law
Advise and litigate on a broad range of California employment law issues
Manage matters from pre-litigation through resolution, including motion practice and discovery
Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Labor & Employment Group on sophisticated, fast-paced matters
Support trial preparation and strategy (trial experience is a plus)
Qualification
Required
5–7 years' experience practicing labor and employment law
Strong experience with California employment law, including wage and hour and PAGA class actions
Admission to the California Bar (required)
J.D. from a nationally recognised, accredited law school with a strong academic record
Demonstrated excellence in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy
Proven ability to manage complex matters, prioritise effectively, and anticipate issues
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working in a collaborative team environment
Performance evaluations of 'exceeds expectations' or higher at current firm
Preferred
Trial experience
Am Law 100 experience
Law review or similar experience
