Aircraft Mechanic I - Electrician / Avionic Mechanic MWO team

Akima is a federal technical solutions contractor that supports Alaska Native communities. The Aircraft Mechanic I will perform repairs and replacements on aircraft wiring and electrical components, read schematics, and work on aircraft modifications with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

This mechanic will be required to repair and replace aircraft wiring and replace aircraft electrical/avionic components as instructed in technical publications, IETMS, and modification work orders
The mechanic will be required to build and terminate wiring harnesses of varying complexity and lengths
Will build and assemble MWO kits and components
This worker reads schematics, interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to test, validate, and install aircraft modifications
This mechanic must be able to work independently or with a small group with little supervision
Must be able to perform administrative actions when it comes to aircraft forms and records, part ordering, and other actions on information systems being utilized by the customer

Required

Must be a U.S. citizen
Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance
Must have own tools/toolbox
6+ years' experience in Army aviation
Must have or be able to pass Basic solder certification
Must be able to pass solder vision testing
Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate/drive equipment

Preferred

SOF aviation experience is desirable
Previous MWO experience is desirable
Experience with ACN or other electronic logbook systems
Experience using multi-meters and other electrical test equipment
