Responsibilities
Direct the full cycle of compliance initiatives across multiple client environments, including risk assessments, control design reviews, walkthroughs, and testing execution
Guide the development of control documentation, testing methodologies, and remediation plans
Advise clients on optimizing their control frameworks and aligning to relevant standards
Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of internal audits across operational, financial, regulatory, and tech-enabled areas
Conduct reviews of audit workpapers and reports for clarity, quality, and thoroughness
Present conclusions and recommendations to senior executives
Act as the day-to-day partner for executives across finance, operations, compliance, and risk
Provide direction on improving governance, strengthening internal controls, and managing emerging risk themes
Support clients on topics such as regulatory expectations, third-party oversight, process optimization, and control maturity
Lead multiple concurrent project teams and help guide less-experienced staff
Review deliverables for adherence to methodology and client expectations
Support proposal development, pitch participation, and expansion of existing client relationships
Qualification
Required
10+ years in audit, internal controls, or compliance programs — ideally with time spent in an advisory/consulting environment
Experience supporting financial-sector clients (banks, lenders, digital-finance platforms, etc.)
Strong grasp of control frameworks, regulatory expectations, and audit standards
Proven ability to manage complex client engagements and communicate with senior leaders
Past experience leading teams and running client-facing advisory work
Preferred
Professional certifications strongly preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent)
Business-development contributions are a major plus
