Development Specialist

Northwell Health is seeking a Development Specialist to support the office of the chief development offices. The role involves planning and coordinating fundraising events, managing projects, and interacting with various stakeholders to foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization.

Responsibilities

Plans, manages, and coordinates projects and ensures project initiatives and timelines are met. Participates in fundraising activities and provides support for all event teams
Plans, coordinates and conducts logistics for committee meetings and fundraising efforts
Assists with the production of printed material – invitations, programs, brochures, etc
Interacts with outside vendors to secure bids and monitor deadlines; supports direct mail team and manages vendor relationship
Coordinates cultivation/stewardship events as needed; works collaboratively with Major Gifts team
Attends and works team events; helps with committee member and committee outreach
Arranges regular committee meetings and maintains related minutes and follow-up documentation
Attends planning meetings; helps to develop team reports
Helps implement the communication process for the annual appeal and direct mail program (maintaining logs, entering data in the application, updating suppression lists, formatting lists, addressing inquiries and providing materials as needed)
Interacts with various external vendors which includes overseeing printing and production process for material. Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action
