Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and direction for field operations across assigned data center projects
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, schedules, and company procedures
Serve as a strong advocate for field personnel and construction execution excellence
Build and maintain effective relationships with owners, designers, consultants, and trade partners
Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Field Engineers
Promote collaboration, accountability, and clear communication across project teams
Participate in pursuit, proposal, and sales presentations
Review projects for constructability and develop execution strategies tailored to mission-critical facilities
Contribute to baseline schedules, sequencing logic, and delivery milestones
Develop site logistics, access, staging, and phasing plans
Provide input on budgets, staffing plans, scope reviews, and turnover planning
Oversee field staffing assignments and performance evaluations
Conduct regular site visits to assess safety, quality, productivity, and progress
Ensure work meets contract documents, specifications, and commissioning requirements
Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies
Lead schedule updates, progress tracking, and monthly reporting
Drive proactive problem-solving to maintain schedule and budget objectives
Ensure timely completion of punch lists, closeout, and warranty items
Attend owner, project, and coordination meetings as required
Maintain continuous client communication to assess performance and satisfaction
Communicate key project information clearly and consistently to field and project teams
Coordinate job-specific, safety, and compliance training for field staff
Ensure adherence to company training standards
Support the development and delivery of internal training and leadership programs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience
15+ years of experience with a general contractor, including large-scale, complex projects
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams across diverse project scopes and geographies
Applicable professional licenses (as required by region)
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
Strong business acumen balancing cost, schedule, risk, and execution
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to resolve conflicts, escalate issues appropriately, and make sound decisions
High sense of urgency, initiative, and problem-solving mindset
Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and teamwork
Preferred
Strong background in data center, mission-critical, or highly technical construction
