Responsibilities
Assist higher-level inspectors
Performs inspections on materials, equipment, and construction activities on site
Maintains Daily Records of construction activities and report issues to supervisor as necessary
Monitors weather conditions during construction activities to meet project specifications
Collect material samples, when required
Reviews plans and specifications for current and future projects
Confirms field testing results with Contractor for concurrence
Reviews and checks material placement and quality
Verifies special material contract requirements
Complete inspection paperwork, check and manage documents certifying and witnessing tests, controls and inspections carried out
Check the conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain the relevant documentation
Qualification
Required
Willingness to learn Construction Engineering skills
Experience with Microsoft Office
Able to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
Perform basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions
Possess conflict resolution skills
US Citizenship is required due to the projects associated with this position
Valid Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other NEI offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
