Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for complex hardware systems
Perform structural and mechanical analyses using first-principles calculations and FEA tools
Support system integration, assembly, and testing of prototype and production hardware
Generate technical documentation, reports, and materials for internal and external design reviews
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, test, and operations
Support troubleshooting and iteration based on test results and real-world constraints
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
2+ years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, or hardware development
Proficiency with CAD and analysis tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar)
Working knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
Strong problem-solving ability and clear technical communication skills
Preferred
Exposure to power, energy, industrial, aerospace, or heavy mechanical systems
Experience selecting materials for high-load, high-temperature, or demanding environments
Hands-on experience with hardware builds, testing, or experimental validation
Background in one or more focus areas such as structures, mechanisms, heat transfer, or dynamics
Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ISO, API, or similar)
Prior experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries is not required
