Responsibilities

Lead civil design from conceptual planning through final design completion based on project manager requirements
Prepare civil equipment packages including construction specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations
Review vendor drawings and coordinate technical interfaces with suppliers, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Participate in development of project schedules, scope, budgets, staffing plans, and construction planning; manage change orders effectively
Apply expert knowledge of civil engineering codes, standards, and practices to compile studies, reports, and specifications
Develop non-standard design solutions for complex engineering challenges
Perform quality reviews of production drawings to ensure compliance with project, client, industry, and constructability standards
Support construction administration through coordination with field personnel, resolving design-related installation issues, calculations, inspections, and material testing
Lead field inspections, measurements, and calculations for public and private sector clients
Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders while identifying new business opportunities
Participate in sales and marketing efforts, including leading key pursuits
Lead development of cost proposals, qualification statements, budgets, and cost estimates; report on project performance
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to less experienced engineers
Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes, safety policies, and company standards
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related) from an ABET-accredited program and 7+ years of civil engineering experience (EPC preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of the FE exam and 7+ years of experience (EPC preferred)
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and 6+ years of civil engineering experience (EPC preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to perform quality reviews of detailed engineering documents and specifications

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) License
EPC project experience
Client-facing and business development experience
