Tampa Bay Lightning is seeking a Director of Corporate Finance to join their Vinik Sports Group Finance Department. This role is critical in shaping the financial strategy and operational excellence of the organization by delivering data-driven financial insights and guiding executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and scenario analysis
Lead the annual budgeting and semi-annual forecasting processes
Work closely with department leaders to gather input, validate assumptions, and align financial targets with business objectives
Collaborate with budget owners to analyze monthly reporting, evaluate significant variances, and proactively recommend actions to meet business goals
Work with Accounting to ensure accurate financials and support preparation of monthly reporting packages and financial analytics for senior management, executives, and ownership presentations
Support the annual audits
Assist in treasury management
Collaborate with NHL on various topics
Develop and mentor a high-performing financial team, fostering continuous improvement and innovation
Leverage and build upon existing systems to create more robust financial models and reports
Perform special projects, as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics
7-10 years of professional experience; 2-4 years of direct people management experience
Advanced technical Excel skills required as well as proficiency in other Microsoft Office software
Experience working with multi-dimensional database technology (Oracle EPM or equivalent technology)
Strong technical skills and thorough understanding of professional finance and accounting terminology and techniques
Ability to build strong relationships and instill trust with colleagues
Excellent communication skills (oral and written); excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills; excellent organization skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people
Capable of discretely handling confidential matters and information
Strong attention to detail, excellent planning skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment and as part of a team, taking on tasks at all levels

Preferred

MBA degree preferred
Experience working with Sage Intacct preferred
