Responsibilities
Accountable for all technical and commercial aspects of large and complex investment projects
Responsible for equipment and work specifications; develops schedules, budgets and forecasts; selects materials, equipment, project resources, and contractors
Ensures all aspects of the design are reviewed technically and commercially for scope, safety, quality, and functionality
Leads a cross-functional project team that typically consists of plant personnel, discipline engineers, procurement and external engineering contractors
Reports to the project steering team which reviews options and provides support and guidance at the various phases of the project
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, electrical or mechanical)
Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing industry
Strong project management skills with projects up to $25M
Experience managing contractors and sub-contractors, including bid process
Experience preparing estimates, schedules and project deliverables
Proven ability to negotiate and manage change
Heavy travel required (30%-60%)
Preferred
Exposure to SAP systems a plus
