SEC Financial Reporting Analyst

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other SEC reports in compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP
Assist in the preparation of earnings releases and other related financial communications
Maintain and update XBRL tagging for financial statements and footnotes
Support quarterly reviews and annual external audits
Collaborate with the Accounting Policy function to monitor changes in accounting standards and SEC regulations, assess their impact, and assist in implementation of new requirements
Take an active role in ensuring SOX compliance for all SEC reporting processes including the review and maintenance of SOX process documentation, self-testing of controls, managing audit requests, and developing remediation plans for ineffective controls when necessary
Participate in special projects and prepare/review ad-hoc analyses, as needed
Support the mission, strategy, and values of the Company

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA &/or MBA is a plus
2+ years of work experience in public accounting or corporate financial reporting, preferably with a public company
Demonstrates the ability to understand, of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations and financial reporting processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines; ability to execute and follow-through to completion
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage ambiguity and complexity
Technology-focused mindset with a proven ability to automate or streamline processes to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and reduce risk

Preferred

Previous public company or financial services experience preferred but not required
Experience with Workiva or similar SEC filing tools is a plus
Experience with ERP/general ledger systems (Oracle experience is a plus)
