Responsibilities

Incident management: monitoring of job schedules, computer systems and associated data center equipment for availability and performance

Develops and maintains operational procedures and documentation

Performs file backups and recovery

Responds to systems alerts

Monitor daily operations of job scheduling, computer systems and associated equipment. Ability to submit and monitor batch jobs

Responds to and/or resolves system alerts and batch jobs. Tracks network alerts. Monitors the data center and all infrastructure

Logs all issues in the problem management tool, able to determine problems and resolve a number of issues without escalation. If necessary, escalates accordingly and follows up on issues

Enforce change management and security guidelines and access to the data center and colocation facility

Assists with hand/eyes data center activities from infrastructure support and data center vendors. Responsible for data center assets to and from the data center

Responsible for all operations run book procedures and file systems backup and recovery

Communicates well with technical support groups, customer support center and vendors. Assists with guidance on our offshore ICC operations group

Responds to internal and external data center and batch job requests in a quick and professional matter
