Responsibilities
Backend services that process and transform high-volume data
AI-enabled features that replace manual operational tasks
Internal systems that allow our ops team to scale without headcount
Product improvements based directly on customer feedback
New workflows that support clinics, legal teams, and healthcare partners
Qualification
Required
2–6+ years of software engineering experience
Strong backend fundamentals
Experience with Python in production systems
Ability to work across the stack when needed
Interest in applied AI and workflow automation
Must be willing to work in-person in NYC several days a week
Have shipped full features end-to-end in production
Enjoy talking to users and iterating quickly based on what you learn
Prefer small, high-trust engineering teams
Are comfortable making trade-offs between speed and correctness
Can break down ambiguous problems into clear execution steps
Like working with AI/LLM tools but don't need everything to be 'machine learning research'
Want to see the impact of your work immediately
Preferred
Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks
Experience with TypeScript for frontend and tooling
Experience with modern infrastructure (containerized services, simple deployments)
