They are seeking a Traffic Engineer to mentor junior staff, conduct signal timing studies, design traffic systems, and develop plans to enhance community infrastructure across the US.

Responsibilities
Mentor junior staff and help grow the traffic department
Conduct signal timing studies, evaluation of signal systems, and adaptive signal systems
Design ITS, traffic signal, and lighting systems
Design complex traffic control during construction plans
Develop signing and pavement marking plans
Analyze intersection and highway levels of service
Conduct field reviews to identify safety and operational issues
Coordinate work tasks and reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of work
Clearly communicate work through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange
Perform work within project deadlines
Prepare Also plans for PSE with specifications, TABS, and estimates
Coordinate internal traffic work to support other Lochner offices
Assist in development of new business via client meetings and participation in promotional activities and professional organizations
Participating in project scoping, fee estimating and proposal activities
Marketing of clients and projects with a focus on transportation planning and traffic engineering
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
Professional License (PE) in Pennsylvania required
5+ years of traffic/transportation engineering experience
PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike experience required
Experience using CADD design software
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
