Responsibilities
Conduct random inspections of vehicles, property and high security areas. Be able to recognize unauthorized items or circumstances
Conduct investigations on incidents that occur on the property. Competent in researching information, questioning individuals, and filling out necessary paperwork
Conduct Roving Patrols
Be willing and able to work overtime, accept abrupt schedule changes, respond in a timely manner to emergency callouts
Write reports on events of the day. Must write legibly and express ideas factually, accurately and to-the-point
Communicate with Security Supervisor regarding any situation that may affect the company
Monitor the refinery security systems including responding to alarms
Demonstrate professional and courteous people and phone skills
Train in procedures for handling emergency calls
Train on Security Policies and Procedures manual
Train in access control and CCTV monitoring
Demonstrate good computer skills
Demonstrate good housekeeping
Monitor all delivery trucks

Qualification
Required
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and courteous demeanor
Basic to intermediate computer skills for report writing and security system use
Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established security policies and procedures
Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and respond to emergency callouts
Must pass a security background check
Preferred
Prior security experience in an industrial, mining, refinery, or high-security environment
Experience conducting patrols, vehicle and property inspections, and monitoring restricted or high-security areas
Experience with incident investigations, including information gathering, interviewing individuals, and completing accurate reports
Experience monitoring security systems, including alarms, access control, and CCTV
