Responsibilities
Manage a dedicated portfolio of global accounts, acting as the ultimate commercial owner for the relationship
Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan focused on leveraging the full suite of WGSN products and services to meet and exceed client expectations
Deepen commercial relationships through a combination of organic subscription growth, strategic upsells, renewals, and project-based revenues
Maintain extensive knowledge of client priorities and current market conditions, translating these insights into profitable opportunities and ensuring our foresight is perfectly positioned to deliver value
Own the global commercial relationship, working seamlessly with regional account managers and the client success team to deliver best-in-class commercial partnerships
Partner with regional account management teams and sales leaders to deliver the 3-year growth plan for WGSN’s global accounts, ensuring all revenue targets are met or exceeded
Identify, explore, and develop new business opportunities within an assigned book of 7-10 strategic growth accounts
Successfully execute client contract renewals to maintain consistently high renewal rates
Be the primary relationship driver, continually deepening your understanding of the client's business, broader industry challenges, and market trends to position WGSN as a strategic partner
Deliver compelling commercial presentations and pitches to Executive and C-level stakeholders that clearly articulate WGSN's strategic, measurable value to their organization
Lead all aspects of the complex global sales cycle, including network building, advanced client engagement strategies, bespoke proposal development, and managing financial, legal, and procurement negotiations
Work seamlessly with the content, consulting, and client success teams to champion high strategic standards and excellent client service, ensuring the customer is delighted with the WGSN experience
Maintain meticulous tracking of all pipeline activities on Salesforce, providing accurate monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts
Deliver regular, insightful updates on global account status, detailing achievements, challenges, and actionable recommendations
Travel nationally and internationally as needed to build and nurture client relationships, successfully navigating different time zones and working effectively with a diverse global client base
Demonstrate strong leadership skills across the global accounts team, acting as a positive influence on team members
Proactively drive positive change and remain fully dedicated to achieving success with the support of the wider WGSN organization
Qualification
Required
At least 7 years quota carrying sales experience
Proven Track Record: Ideally at least 7 years of demonstrated success in strategic account sales, including a verifiable record of winning, retaining, and significantly growing large, high-value global accounts (a multi-million dollar portfolio preferred)
Advanced Sales Acumen: Mastery of advanced sales process, techniques, and methodologies, including complex, multi-year contract negotiation and execution
Commercial & Organizational Agility: A proactive and commercially focused mindset, with deep experience operating successfully within a matrix organization. Must possess a history of effectively influencing diverse, cross-functional teams to deliver against a unified business strategy
Executive Communication: An excellent communicator capable of leading high-stakes client presentations, effectively negotiating complex deals, and influencing outcomes that create mutual value for both the client and WGSN
Strategic Problem Solver: A creative problem solver who operates at pace, efficiently developing and implementing innovative commercial solutions that drive sustainable account growth
Passion for Foresight: A genuine passion for trend and forecasting across relevant industries, such as: fashion, beauty, retail, technology, design & innovation, and food & drink
