Caltrans is the California Department of Transportation, focused on improving lives and communities through transportation. They are seeking a highly motivated attorney with experience in civil litigation, primarily to defend Caltrans in tort and employment cases.

Responsibilities
Join the Caltrans Sacramento Legal Office with primary focus on defending Caltrans in tort and/or employment cases
Participate in depositions, court hearings, etc. throughout the State
Qualification
Required
CA BAR membership License
Possession of a valid Driver's License when operating a state owned or leased vehicle
Applicants are required to take the CalHR examination for the classification and be reachable on the eligibility list
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification
Applicants with foreign transcripts/degrees must provide a transcript/degree U.S. equivalency report evaluation that indicates the number of units and degree to which the foreign coursework is equivalent

Experience and/or interest in civil litigation
