Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the municipal water/wastewater and industrial manufacturing sectors
Conduct site visits to assess existing infrastructure and recommend integrated pump and control solutions
Maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders, including facility managers, consulting engineers, and purchasing agents
Work closely with engineering firms to get Velocity Pump and Controls products written into project specifications
Manage the process from initial lead generation and equipment sizing to final proposal presentation and post-sale support
Stay current on industry trends, local regulatory changes, and competitor activity within the Michigan market
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years in technical sales, preferably in pumps, valves, rotating equipment, or HVAC
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical field experience
Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and electrical schematics
Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain complex mechanical systems to non-technical audiences
Willingness to travel daily within the SE Michigan territory (valid driver's license required)
