Field Sales Representative

The Area Sales Representative will maintain customer partnerships, achieve sales goals, and provide exceptional service while managing a large portfolio of accounts.

Responsibilities

Be the face of Native Maine. Be “the local” our customers know and trust
Be the salesperson, the trouble shooter, and the answer for customer needs
Train customers to enter orders into our industry software online
Attain sales budgets as assigned on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
Get customer “touches in person and via telephone.” Recommend promotional products and new products to grow your customers
Understand your Audience: Develop and maintain pricing structures that make sense for our business
Own your Market area! Know the competition and design strategies to win
Recommend service improvements, by being an expert in your area
Selling quality food to existing and new accounts within your territory
Provide strong attention to detail & account management skills while managing a large portfolio
Collect accounts receivable from customers, when necessary, communicate with finance and sales management & follow through to ensure company collection requirements are met while maintaining solid customer relations through the collections process

Required

A self-starter with a competitive personality and a sales background
High school diploma
Excellent sales skills
Strong planning, communication & organizing ability
Outside sales experience or industry experience with a proven record of success
A valid state driver's license, ability to be insured, bonded and a satisfactory driving record along with reliable transportation (reimbursable) is required
2+ years of successful, proven outside sales and/or tangible Food Service experience will be considered
Must live within easy daily commute of the assigned territory

College degree or equivalent education and/or experience preferred
