Responsibilities
Define and implement automated test systems to validate and observe the next generation of services and tools
Plan, craft, maintain and drive test cases
Identify, reproduce and isolate bugs found through concise bug reporting
Regularly interact with engineering teams, management and other organizations within Apple
Work on complex, high-quality solutions with tight deadlines
Qualification
Required
7+ years of software engineering experience
Strong understanding of REST APIs, development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes
Experience developing comprehensive test plans, test cases and using automation techniques to maintain and improve software quality
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Experience designing, writing, reviewing, testing or delivering services at scale
Preferred
Experience using design-first principles with OpenAPI to define and validate APIs
Knowledge of containerization concepts like Kubernetes, Docker, OpenTelemetry, and others
Understanding of Cloud Platforms (AWS or Azure or GCP)
Experience using Swift on Server. Familiar with Go
Familiarity of search index technologies
Experience building solutions that leverage API's from the latest LLMs
Demonstrated creative and critical thinking with an innate drive to improve how things work. Skilled at translating high-level goals into detailed project plans
Experience providing architecture and design guidance
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience
