Responsibilities
Manage multiple large-scale, highly complex programs ($5M+ budgets, ~10+ FTEs)
Coordinate and lead teams of Senior Project Managers
Support PMO leadership in optimizing resource allocation
Determine program budgets and staffing for business cases
Submit PMA and PM performance assessments for:
Project stage gates
Mid-year reviews
Year-end reviews
Take ownership of challenged or high-risk projects, closely supervising incumbent PMs
Serve as SME for project management methodologies and financial analytics
Actively mentor and coach PMs and PM Analysts
Scope and risk management
QA reviews and inspections
Client satisfaction metrics
Project statistical analysis and variance analysis
Estimating and forecasting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
8+ years of IT Project / Program Management experience, with a focus on: Staffing management, Resource management
Proven experience managing: 30+ FTEs on a single 12+ month program, 5+ projects with $5M+ labor budgets
Teams including 5+ PMAs and 2+ Project Managers from planning through execution
Proficiency with PDM / PPMC / PPM tools
Strong experience with financial and performance analytics
Experience supporting electric operations within a utility
Strong understanding of asset work management, including: Distribution poles, Transmission towers, Substations
Experience with Electric Grid Interconnection (EGI) programs
Strong understanding of utility work management workflows, from customer request through electric grid interconnection
Hands-on experience working with: SAP PM / SAP EAM, GIS, Customer Web Portal, CC&B, Documentum
