User Provisioning Analyst - ITS-Operational Security
The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a User Provisioning Analyst to join their Information Services Access Management team. This role is responsible for managing user access and provisioning for various applications while ensuring adherence to security guidelines and compliance practices.
Responsibilities
Responsible for creating accounts to grant access to various application systems. This includes adding, modifying, and removing users’ access on several applications in accordance with the controls that govern Information Services-Access Management
Responsible for user access management, user provisioning, and troubleshooting user issues, de-provisioning, and maintenance of technical security controls for multiple applications
Research, analyze, and provide solutions to routine issues with general direction for components of a system or application
Collaborate with ISO (Information Security Office) to ensure that access management is working within the established security guidelines and is in adherence to the UT System policies and Texas Administrative Code
Ensure required approvals are obtained before granting user access to an application or data
Identify, design, and implement improvements for efficiency and enhanced security for work processes
Assist in the development of processes to monitor and assess security compliance practices, monitor logical access, and participate in internal audits to determine if security objectives, processes, and controls are effectively applied, maintained, and performed as expected
Provide analysis and prepare system documentation for access to existing and proposed procedures
Complete audit requests that come in from campus, UT Systems, and other external entities
Manage customer expectations to resolve access-related issues for a very large and diverse client population
Provide customer support by participating in a weekly on-call rotation to respond to and address emergency access issues
Assist in coordinating security implementation of system upgrades
Collaborate with ITIM Administration to assist in addressing issues and modifying workflows as required
Review and confirm work processes are documented and revised in a timely manner
Collaborate with groups with complex access issues
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Communicates well, both written and verbal
Works well in a team-oriented environment but is able to work independently as needed
Highly organized with an emphasis on detail
Good time management
