Associate Engineer, Contact Center

Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation and configuration of CCaaS and hybrid contact center solutions, including Cisco Webex Contact Center, Amazon Connect, Genesys Cloud CX, and Five9
Support the development of AI-enabled customer experiences using tools such as Google Dialogflow, AWS Lex, and Microsoft Copilot frameworks
Help integrate contact center platforms with CRM, analytics, and workforce systems under guidance from senior engineers
Participate in requirements gathering sessions and learn how business needs translate into technical solutions
Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation across multi-vendor environments
Support documentation efforts, runbooks, and knowledge-base materials
Learn best practices for cloud-first design, automation, and scalable architectures
Collaborate closely with project managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional teams
Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and mentorship opportunities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent professional, internship, or military experience
Basic understanding of contact center concepts (voice, chat, IVR, omnichannel)
Exposure to at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) through coursework, labs, or internships
Familiarity with basic programming or scripting concepts (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
Understanding of APIs and REST concepts (academic or hands-on exposure is sufficient)
Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies
Strong communication skills and the ability to learn from feedback
Willingness to ask questions, collaborate, and grow within a team environment
Ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced consulting environment

Preferred

Internship, lab, or academic project experience with CCaaS, VoIP, or cloud platforms
Exposure to conversational AI, chatbots, or automation tools
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or ServiceNow
Interest in AI, customer experience technology, or cloud engineering
AWS, Cisco, Google, or Microsoft foundational certifications (or active pursuit)
