Responsibilities

Optimize production parts for size, weight, durability, performance and cost 
Use Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to plan and test characteristics of new products still in the early design stage
Take ownership of components needed for building and testing of charging hardware (charge ports, OBCs, HV harnesses), completing every aspect of component engineering development from concept to build to final validation
Root cause testing failures seen in Design Validation of state-of-the-art HV assemblies and explore design solutions to solve them
Integrate mechanical designs with HV electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment

Required

A strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
Experience working with CAD
Ability to learn quickly and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment
Take ownership of components needed for building and testing of charging hardware (charge ports, OBCs, HV harnesses), completing every aspect of component engineering development from concept to build to final validation
Root cause testing failures seen in Design Validation of state-of-the-art HV assemblies and explore design solutions to solve them
Integrate mechanical designs with HV electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment
Field(s) of study: Mechanical Engineering or related field
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program at an accredited university
Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS)

Preferred

Experience with data analysis using Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar
Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Hands on Mechanical Engineering experience
Experience with high voltage design for automotive or aerospace
Familiarity with the basics of modern automotive HV system architecture
Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies
