Responsibilities
Physically install and configure server racks in data center environments
Mount servers, networking, and related hardware into racks per provided schematics and build plans
Connect, route, label, and neatly secure fiber, Ethernet, and power cabling according to design specifications
Troubleshoot and resolve fiber optic and copper networking connectivity issues
Ensure proper cable management, airflow, and compliance with data center standards
Organize, track, and inventory a diverse range of hardware components and equipment
Maintain accurate documentation of installations, changes, and inventory
Follow safety procedures and operational guidelines at all times
Qualification
Required
4–6 years of hands-on experience in data center hardware installation or similar roles
Proven experience with rack-and-stack operations, structured cabling, and cable management
Strong troubleshooting skills for fiber optic and copper networking connections
Experience working from schematics, diagrams, and installation plans
Familiarity with inventory management and asset tracking systems
Ability to lift and install server equipment in a data center environment
Preferred
Experience working in large-scale data centers or enterprise environments
Knowledge of industry standards for cabling, labeling, and rack layouts
