As an Accountant, you will apply accounting principles to record and analyze financial transactions, reconcile account balances, and create financial statements, while also supporting compliance activities and serving as a subject matter expert across multiple financial processes.

Responsibilities

Exercise accounting control over a group of general ledger accounts
Record, analyze, and interpret financial transactions, and communicate results to management
Reconcile general ledger account balances
Create financial statements or other reports in conformity with GAAP or other regulatory standards
Prepare state and local tax compliance filings
Research technical accounting issues and assist in implementation of new standards
Coordinate and support external audit processes
Serve as a subject matter expert for projects requiring specialized accounting knowledge
Make recommendations to management for problem resolution
Use software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics programs to assemble and manipulate data
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Accounting or closely related equivalent
Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills

Preferred

One to three years of related accounting work experience
CPA, CPA eligibility, MBA, or MPA
