Responsibilities
Apply principles of mechanical system design, focused in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
Perform engineering tasks related to mechanical/HVAC system design from design through construction management
Collaborate as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts
Become an expert with Autodesk Revit and Trane Trace applications
Perform engineering calculations, size and select mechanical equipment
Complete RFI's, submittals, engineering surveys and reports
Conduct site observations and interact with clients, vendors and contractors
Qualification
Required
BS Degree in an accredited Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program
Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit
Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction
Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection
Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
HVAC design: 2 years (Required)
3D modeling: 2 years (Required)
Ability to Commute: Middletown, CT (Required)
Preferred
FE/EIT Certification is preferred
Engineer in Training (Preferred)
