Responsibilities
Ownership of core accounting activities across multiple entities
Oversight of monthly and annual close processes
Preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and internal financial reporting
Maintenance and improvement of account structure and reporting frameworks
Support of payroll and fixed asset accounting processes
Partnership with leadership on audit coordination and compliance activities
Identification and implementation of process improvements and efficiencies
Use of systems, reporting tools, and automation to improve accuracy and visibility
Oversight and development of one accounting professional located at an operating site
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline
Several years of progressive accounting experience in a structured environment
Strong command of general ledger activity and financial reporting
Demonstrated consistency and longevity in prior roles
Comfort supporting and developing others (formal or informal leadership)
Systems-oriented mindset with interest in improving processes
Preferred
Manufacturing or multi-entity experience is helpful but not required
