Junior Excavation Project Manager
W3Global is a locally owned and operated excavation and land development contractor based in Justin, TX. The Jr. Project Manager will oversee all aspects of excavation-focused construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of excavation and earthwork projects, including site grading, mass excavation, trenching, utilities, and soil stabilization
Develop project schedules, work plans, manpower estimates, and equipment utilization strategies
Review project specifications, plans, and civil drawings to ensure scope accuracy and constructability
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and resource allocations
Track production quantities and adjust execution plans to achieve target productivity
Manage subcontractors, approve invoices, and ensure proper cost coding
Work closely with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain efficient site operations
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality
Lead project progress meetings and coordinate with clients, engineers, and inspectors
Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices
Ensure job-specific safety plans, environmental controls, and SWPPP requirements are implemented and maintained
Verify compliance with project specifications, testing requirements, and engineering standards
Troubleshoot field challenges and implement corrective measures when necessary
Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports
Provide weekly progress updates, cost tracking reports, and schedule updates to leadership and clients
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years experience managing heavy civil or excavation-focused projects
Strong understanding of civil construction, excavation, soil conditions, and grading operations
Proficiency with scheduling and project management software (Procore, Raken, Textura, Trimble Pay)
Experience with earthwork estimating software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, geotechnical reports, and technical specifications
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
Preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
