Responsibilities
Daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety
Prepare Safety Data Sheet (SDS), master labels and other documentation as needed
Aid management with safety and regulatory audits
Coordinate the hazardous waste removal and handling procedures
Assist in the administration with customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicals
Assist in generating literature for orders, SDS, etc
Train employees on safety procedures
Obtain and maintain OSHA certifications
Support implementation of an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure the stewardship of DRS assets
Respond to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient manner
Support facilities inspections and reporting requirements
Collect data and generates reports and metrics
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in EHS, science or related field
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and organization skills
Must have excellent PC-based computer skills
Must have, or be willing to obtain, CPR/AED certification
Obtain and maintain OSHA certifications
Preferred
Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred
