Responsibilities
Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
Actively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions
Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology
Opportunities to make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities
Works alongside others to implement modifications to existing software code that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices
Assists with improvements to systems and tools and supports development and implementation of new automation, asking questions as necessary
Engages with team members and manager during code/design reviews, participates in on-call rotations and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles
Leverages working knowledge of systems/platforms and telemetry analyses to identify basic issues in code, processes, and designs when they are inconsistent with customer/business objectives
Qualification
Required
2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of and ability to develop back-end (e.g. Java) code in support of package and product development
The ability to develop and utilize Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
Knowledge of and the ability to use database software (e.g., applications, web-based applications, information systems)
Knowledge of systems integration process
Knowledge of data structures
Preferred
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

Language Expertise: Expertise in Java development language
