Responsibilities

Lead Projects: Manage all phases of projects, including scoping, budgeting, execution, reporting, and client communication
Technical Oversight: Provide expertise in a variety of projects, including but not limited to soil and groundwater remediation and design, vapor intrusion, mitigation system design/installation, contaminated site management, and emerging contaminant investigations (PFAS)
Field & Design Work: Oversee field investigations (drilling, sampling, data collection) and prepare design recommendations for complex or unusual site conditions
Mentorship: Guide and support engineers, geologists, and technical staff, fostering career development and in-house training
Business Development: Leverage your local market knowledge and relationships to identify, pursue, and secure project opportunities. Collaborate with clients to build trust and expand S&ME's presence

Qualification

Professional Engineer (PE) licenseEnvironmental engineering experienceProject management skillsSoilGroundwater remediationVapor intrusion expertiseClient relationship managementBusiness development skillsMentorship abilities

Required

A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field
10+ years of professional environmental engineering experience
A Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license required
Strong project management and leadership skills

Preferred

Excellent business development abilities, and existing client relationships in the local market are a plus
Proven experience with soil and groundwater remediation/design, vapor intrusion, soil gas investigations, contaminated sites, and/or mitigation systems is a plus
