Visual Work Card Instruction Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop detailed and visually guided work instructions (Visual Work Cards) for manufacturing processes, including assembly, fabrication, and installation
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to translate complex technical data into operator-friendly instructions
Create and embed images, diagrams, and 3D models (when available) into work cards using software tools such as Catia, Siemens Teamcenter, Creo Illustrate, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent
Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality, Production Supervisors, and Trainers to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability of instructions
Validate work instructions on the shop floor to ensure completeness, accuracy, and operational efficiency
Revise and maintain documentation based on engineering changes, process improvements, or feedback from the floor
Ensure compliance with company standards, AS9100 requirements, and other relevant regulatory documentation standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline work instruction development and improve process clarity

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered
2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process documentation, preferably in the aerospace, automotive, or high-tech manufacturing sector
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and technical documentation standards
Proficiency with CAD tools and visualization software (Catia, Creo, SolidWorks, etc.) and technical illustration tools
Excellent written and visual communication skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment with multiple stakeholders

Preferred

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and visual management tools is a plus
