Responsibilities
Work cross-functionally to expand the functionality of the Health app and HealthKit framework
Collaborate across Apple feature teams, hardware teams, domain experts like doctors and fitness experts, and our third party developer ecosystem
Deliver new health and fitness features
Design solutions for distributed health data storage
Performance, OS integration, and API design and delivery
Qualification
Required
BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals
2 years of experience working in Objective-C, Swift, C++ or similar high level programming languages
Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
Experience in object-oriented architecture and design
Understanding of systems-level concepts like multi-threading and interprocess communication
Experience with debugging tools and performance tuning
Knowledge of iOS programming and one or more Apple technologies such as Grand Central Dispatch, CloudKit, or XPC Activity/Services
Strong communication skills, including ability to collaborate in a diversity of backgrounds and experiences
Willingness to learn and improve, and also mentor and support other team members
Highly organized, maintaining patience and composure to effectively operate within ambiguity
Preferred
Experience with distributed systems design and development
Experience with SQL and database technologies
Experience delivering libraries, frameworks or APIs
Familiarity with Fitness, Wellness or Medical concepts
