Responsibilities
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans with timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Lead project execution, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle
Capture and manage project change control, documenting and approving any modifications to scope, timeline, or budget
Maintain detailed project documentation and develop activity trackers and presentations using Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel for stakeholders
Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Monitor and track risks, taking proactive steps to minimize impacts
Resolve issues promptly and escalate critical concerns to senior management when necessary
Track and manage project budgets, ensuring costs remain within allocation
Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project spending
Prepare and deliver regular status reports highlighting progress, risks, and issues
Facilitate transparent communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners
Convene steering committee meetings and lead weekly project updates or ad-hoc sessions
Provide tactical direction to project teams, ensuring alignment with goals
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Apply expertise in network architecture, IP management, and shared intranet environments
Lead planning and execution meetings for server workload migrations with SMEs and campus IT teams
Provide guidance on IT infrastructure design, implementation, and security
Qualification
Required
In-depth understanding of network architecture, secure communication channels (VPNs), and cybersecurity (Proofpoint, MFA)
Expertise in IT infrastructure, including networking, virtualization, and storage
Familiarity with Cisco Systems, VMware, NetApp, Nutanix, and IP management
Experience planning and executing server migrations
Strong documentation skills for system designs, configurations, and operational procedures
High proficiency in M365 applications, particularly Project, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Experience developing project plans for university-wide network infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience managing projects with 20–50 stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage university stakeholders, including technical staff, administrators, faculty, and students
Strong communication skills to facilitate discussions, articulate client needs, and lead presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
