Responsibilities
E-Filing Management: Prepare and file legal documents electronically through the South Carolina State and Federal court systems
Document Preparation & Review: Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
Case Management: Maintain and organize case files, both electronically and physically, ensuring all filings and deadlines are met
Attorney Support: Assist attorneys with scheduling, court filings, trial preparation, and case coordination
Calendaring & Deadlines: Track litigation deadlines, hearings, and court dates to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as time entry, billing assistance, and travel arrangements as needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience, preferably in South Carolina
Strong knowledge of South Carolina State and Federal court electronic filing systems
Familiarity with South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Court procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software
Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and manage competing deadlines
Strong proofreading and document formatting skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
