Customer Support Engineer
Kokusai Semiconductor Equipment Corporation is a world leader in the design and manufacture of semiconductor fabrication equipment. They are seeking a highly motivated Customer Support Engineer to provide on-site servicing and technical support for their products, while also facilitating communication between customers and Kokusai stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Responsible for on-site servicing and modification of Kokusai Electric products onsite at customer locations
Provides hands-on technical support at customer locations covering the operation of the equipment, as well as being responsible for the execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities
Excellent communication skills and serves as a liaison between the customer and various Kokusai stakeholders in Japan and the USA, on a variety of technical and logistic responsibilities
Provides feedback to service, sales and technical support groups on customer’s needs and requests
Located at a customer site but able to travel (~10%) as required for training, to perform preventive and basic corrective maintenance, installation or de-installation at other locations
Have the flexibility to work on shifts/overtime/stand-by/on-call/holidays when required
Follows required Kokusai Electric & Customer safety protocols and procedures at all times
Has the ability to work long periods of time in a labor-intensive environment
Will be required to work overtime and/or travel on short notice, including unscheduled or other shifts as required
Demonstrate good customer service skills and maintaining a professional behavior
Assist with tool installation and removal when required
Completes assigned work in a timely manner
Utilize Kokusai Electric administrative database systems for Procedures, Equipment Change Notices (ECN), Parts and Drawing discovery and usage with some assistance
Show initiative in self-study and continuous improvement in Kokusai Electric equipment knowledge and maintenance skillsets (Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Customer Service)
Learns and applies basic diagnostic techniques and the use of recommended documentation
Must be able to work with others or independently at a high level

EDUCATION: A.S. or B.S. in related Electro/Mechanical or Electronic field or equivalent training
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years directly related semiconductor industry experience. Demonstrated knowledge on Kokusai Electric (or competitor) product lines
