Product Development Coordinator – Costume Jewelry & Accessories (Private Label/Licensed)
Beth Ward Studios is a design studio and importer selling to some of the nation’s largest specialty chains. They are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Development Coordinator to support the end-to-end development of costume jewelry and accessories, working closely with overseas factories and managing product development timelines.

Responsibilities
Support the full product lifecycle from concept through final sample approval for costume jewelry, hair accessories, and hard enamel pins
Assist in developing detailed tech packs, component breakdowns, and engineering notes to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency
Partner with overseas factories to communicate design specifications, technical requirements, cost targets, and revisions throughout the development process
Review samples for construction quality, materials, functionality, safety, and character correctness/design integrity
Track and manage product development timelines to ensure on-time delivery of prototypes and production-ready samples
Work with global factory partners to request, review, and analyze cost sheets
Identify cost-saving opportunities through component changes, construction improvements, or sourcing alternatives
Maintain strong knowledge of global sourcing, material availability, and category-specific manufacturing capabilities
Coordinate with internal teams including Design, Sales, and Production to support project alignment and milestone completion
Manage approvals for licensed character products, ensuring compliance with licensor guidelines and feedback cycles
Maintain accurate records in product management tools and tracking sheets
Support PLM updates (experience with PLM systems is a plus)
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in product development, preferably in costume jewelry, fashion accessories, or licensed character product
Strong understanding of jewelry components, materials, trims, construction methods, enameling techniques, and manufacturing processes
Experience working directly with overseas factories, particularly in Asia
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with PLM systems is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized with strong follow-through skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment
