Senior Project Manager
Shermco Industries is seeking a safety-driven and technically skilled Field Electrical Oversight Specialist to support field execution, electrical oversight, and customer coordination across a range of power system projects. This role requires overseeing the installation, testing, and startup of low- and medium-voltage systems while ensuring compliance with safety practices and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Oversee and support the installation, testing, and startup of low- and medium-voltage systems (480 V–35 kV) at industrial and utility sites
Ensure strict compliance with LOTO, NFPA 70E, and OSHA 1910 electrical safety practices
Collect field data for arc flash studies, including breaker/fuse data, conductor sizes, and equipment nameplate information
Interpret one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and control drawings to validate installation quality and troubleshoot field issues
Coordinate effectively with union labor and on-site supervisors, helping drive progress and solve field-level challenges
Assist in reviewing test reports, punch lists, and field documentation with project managers and engineers
Maintain clear, professional communication with customers, contractors, and Shermco team members
Qualification
Required
10+ years of field electrical experience, with exposure to both 480 V and medium-voltage (up to 35 kV) systems
Strong understanding of hazardous energy control procedures and field safety practices
Proficiency in reading and interpreting one-line diagrams and electrical schematics
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E
Experience working on or alongside union electrical crews
Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites regularly (some overnight travel required)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Experience in critical industrial environments (pharma, utility, water, manufacturing)
Requires physical activity, use of PPE, and work near energized equipment (with strict adherence to safety procedures)
Travel includes driving and occasional air travel to support project needs
Preferred
Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
Prior exposure to arc flash study workflows (data collection only; analysis performed by engineering)
OSHA 30 certification and current NFPA 70E training a plus
