District Executive
Connecticut Rivers Council, Scouting America is seeking a District Executive to recruit and support volunteer leaders in delivering the mission of Scouting. The role involves managing operations and performance of the territory, focusing on membership growth, fund development, and program support through effective leadership of volunteers.

Responsibilities
Recruit, develop, and maintain effective volunteer leadership teams
Assure the flow of funds from the territory through annual fundraising and product sales campaigns to help the council achieve its mission
Be a good role model and recognize the importance of working relationships with other professionals and volunteers
Achieve annual fundraising goals
Grow membership on an annual basis
Establish and maintain full and effective volunteer leadership teams
Ensure support of quality programs at all levels
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (transcript with the date degree conferred stated is required for employment)
Excellent communication skills. Must be comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences
Excellent people skills, enthusiastic, punctual, responsible, and creative
Reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory
Willingness and ability to devote long and irregular hours to achieve objectives
Attained 21 years of age or older
