They are hiring a Distribution Industrial Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize systems and processes within a distribution center to improve efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

Apply industrial engineering principles, data analysis, and technology to manage the flow of goods and resources, eliminate waste, and reduce operational costs

Conduct time studies, analyzing workflows, and identifying bottlenecks to streamline distribution center processes, such as picking, packing, and shipping

Develop facility and workstation layouts using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to optimize material flow, space utilization, and ergonomics

Establish and maintain engineered labor standards and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and report on productivity

Act as a subject matter expert for new technologies and automation, such as robotics, conveyor systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Perform cost analyses, preparing business cases, and manage capital equipment projects to reduce operating expenses and improve profitability

Partner with other departments, including operations, IT, and maintenance, to ensure alignment on business goals and implement improvements

Provide training to operational staff on new methods and systems to ensure proper and efficient execution

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar discipline

Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical analysis skills are necessary for developing standards and analyzing performance

Experience with WMS, ERP, and CAD software required

Advanced Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup functions, and Macros

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to problem solve

Lead projects and work effectively cross functionally
