Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design, and execution of capital projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, and timelines
Serve as Project Lead for both multi-disciplinary and single-discipline projects, including scope development, cost and labor estimates, resource coordination, and schedule management
Develop technical specifications and data sheets, evaluate vendor bids, and recommend best-value solutions that meet operational, reliability, maintainability, and safety requirements
Oversee field installations, conduct inspections, and resolve technical issues during project execution
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as production, maintenance, and external suppliers to ensure project success and alignment with facility needs
Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation, control, and data acquisition systems
Identify and assess new technologies to enhance system performance and reliability
Develop and implement standards and procedures to ensure consistency and long-term sustainability of instrumentation, control, and data acquisition systems
Actively support the Materion Elmore site Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) program to ensure compliance and safe execution of projects
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET), or equivalent
Proven experience managing capital projects and leading project teams in an industrial environment
Strong background in industrial instrumentation, control systems, and data acquisition system design
Hands-on experience with HMI screen development and PLC programming
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver results
Preferred
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, AutomationDirect, and client PLC platforms is highly desirable
Experience with iFIX, Cimplicity, and Wonderware HMI systems preferred
